The Wills family was nominated by Jerica. Here is their story:
“On January 15, 2013, Grant Wills decided that in order to provide a better future and life for his family he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. We never expected to get pregnant or be starting a family at that time. In June 2013 we found out that we were pregnant! We were excited but nervous. We found out our due date and Grant’s departure were on the same day- January 28. If I carried our daughter to term, he would most likely miss her birth and almost her entire first year. I had developed pregnancy induced hypertension and we ended up being induced and Aleeah was born on January 15, 2014. The last 7.5 months have been crazy and stressful. Being a new mom, made a single mom, unable to talk to your husband- life was hard. We got through it all and Grant is now home. It is going to take some adjusting to our new lifestyle again, but we are just thankful his time from us is over… for right now. I realized we have never had a family picture, done by a professional. If we would win this, it would celebrate us officially becoming a family again.”
